Treasures N' Junk

I've had a great week off. Spent time with my daughter and grand daughter and had some time to rest and recharge for the coming weeks till school ends.

On Thursday I went to Treasures n' Junk Antique Mall.  Oh my gosh, if you love antiques you have to treat yourselves to a trip to this store. They have about 80 different vendors with all types of antiques. they are open everyday except for Tuesdays. You can checkout their blog here

This is the entrance. There is an old car, with old car parts and an old gas station pump. If you go with a friend it is a neat place to take a picture.

When you walk in you are greeted with many beautiful items.

This is one of my favorite vendors. It has many silver items and crystal items.

I fell in love with this vendor who paints these darling garden signs and sells them for fourteen dollars.

This vendor had the cutest burlap and lace runners.

There is an alcove between the two building and in the alcove they have built a little town. In each little building there is a vendor.

Here is my Ollie Dollie. Haha! doesn't it looks like she is dancin' on the board walk?
She looked adorable with her two little piggy tails.

This is the entrance to the second building. There are many vintage auto items for sale just right for those who are setting up a Man Cave.

I leave you with a picture of me at the vintage Park Ranger trailer they have in the back with many different patio items for sale. See my hair, it was just starting to come in after my four chemo treatments. This was taken sometime last August, 2012. I had a chance to go antiquing with a good friend and she snapped this picture of me.

Now for the treasures I purchased.

This week I was looking for items that were pink for my Mothers Day Mantel.  I purchased a piggy bank for my Ollie Dollie. Isn't it so cute. A glass measuring cup, which I will use many times while making my healthy smoothies. A chintz plate and a small French plate which I'm sure I will use when friends come a visiting and hopefully
incorporate them into my Mother's Day mantel.

When you go to antique stores do you go with a purpose or do you just go and buy what you find interesting?  I would love to hear from you so please leave a comment below.

Easter Bunnies, Chicks, Decorations and Family

Welcome to our Easter Sunday and my sister and brother in-laws chic pad!
I am so blessed by them. They take it upon themselves to hold all our special holidays, birthdays, a couple weddings and wedding receptions at their beautiful home. They have been blessed with the ability to decorate it and make it so warm and cozy for all their family and friends to enjoy. I thank The Lord for them everyday and for them being blessed with the gift of Hospitality.

My brother in-law and sister are very gracious hosts. They go through all the time and effort to make our children, grandchildren and extended family have the best memories of the day but yet, I am sure they get very little thank yous. I know they aren't doing it for the thank yous but sometimes thank you and a little help without being asked goes along way. Do you have family who go out of their way to make a holiday special for you? If you do, remember that God calls us to be servants not to be served. Ask if you can help in any way and send a hand written thank you card expressing your thankfulness and how much they mean to you.

Anyway I'm off the soap box and on to what I wanted to show you!!

This is what my sister and brother in-law did for the grand kids!! It is over the top cute!!

Isn't this a cute place setting! I love the color scheme and the chickie theme.

Here's my Ollie Dollie playing with a lil' dollie in amongst all the Easter baskets that were were filled with all the Easter goodies a child could want! We had nine kids ranging from two months old to fourteen years old.

We had two Easter Egg Hunts, one for the big kids and then one for the itty bitty kids. My mom was flabbergasted at how the itty bitties knew what to do.

My Ollie Dollie just wanted to get as many eggies in her arms as she could carry.

Oh oh getting off the track!

Here is the the decor in the foyer.

The foyer decor was my favorite!

The dinning table, which is about 12 feet to 16 feet long, was decorated with all sorts of bunnies, eggs, plants, and cloches. It was absolutely darling.

When it was time to eat, my sister and brother in-law serve up scrumptious food! Sorry I was so into eating I didn't take any pictures.

All around the house there were many little lovely vignettes that just added to this delightful holiday!

Now for the outside!! It turned out to be a lovely Easter Sunday. The sun was shining with puffy clouds and all!

My Sissy put ribbons on an old umbrella and it was so fun. There was a breeze that would blow the ribbons. It was so cool looking. The kids thought it was so awesome!

Here is my Ollie Dollies Easter Basket! You can see some of the things she got here.

And here are the mamma's and the kiddies going through their huge Easter baskets.

My Ollie Dollie was flabbergasted by all the wonderful gifts she was blessed with.

After all the festivities we took a few pictures for memories.

Here is my Sissy, her daughter and granddaughter, Pretty Pretty.

See the hair bow Ollie Dollie is wearing you can get them here.

The itty bitties had a lot of fun on the little jungle Jim.

Nana loved to play with her great grand kids.

My son in-law dedicated Pretty Pretty to The Lord and prayed for her parents. It was so sweet.

How do you celebrate Easter?
Do you have Easter Baskets and Easter Hunts?
Do you decorate you home?
Do you share what Easter is really all about to family and/or friends?

Ollie Dollie and I would love to hear from you!
We pray your day was as awesome as ours was.

Love in Christ,

Honey
